Bus Luggage Rules in India: How Much Can You Carry on an Intercity Bus?

India publishes no single national bus luggage figure: KSRTC allows 30 kg free per adult, and a Volvo 15 metre sleeper carries 8.5 cubic metres of luggage across 40 berths, which makes the 1,800 mm berth the real limit.
